Unlock Hard Difficulty
Finish the game on Ninja Dog or Normal difficulty. Alternatively, if you have a save file on your hard drive with the original Ninja Gaiden completed, then this will be unlocked.
Unlock Very Hard Difficulty
Finish the game on Hard. Alternatively, if you have a save file with the clear data of the Hurricane Pack 2, this will be unlocked.
Unlock Master Ninja
Finish the game on Very Hard difficulty.
Unlock Mission
Finish the game with the difficulty greater than Normal.
Unlock Movie Theater
Finish the game with on difficulty.
Unlock Arcade Ninja Gaiden
Finish the game on Ninja Dog or Normal with the "Ninja Gaiden Arcade" item. Alternatively, finish the game on Hard difficulty.
Unlock Coming Attractions
Play the game for at least an hour.
Unlock New Missions
Finish the first 5 missions and 5 more will be unlocked. Everytime you complete 5 levels, 5 more are unlocked, until you unlock all 50 levels.
Unlock Comic Costumes
Finish the game on Ninja Dog or Normal
Unlock Red Muffler Costume
Finish the game on Hard
Unlock Ryuken Costume
Finish the game on Very Hard
Unlock DOA Costume
Finish the mission "Special Mission."
Unlock Arcade Ninja Gaiden (NES)
Get all 50 Scarabs and turn them into the shop, and you'll get the Ninja Gaiden cartridge. Bring it to Han's Bar and you can play it on the arcade cabinet.
