Go to any slope in just about any country next season and you'll notice that boarders pretty much outnumber skiers. The number of tricks that can be performed, the style in which they are done and the ease with which it can be picked up has made snowboarding a sure-fire hit with both veteran skiers and a whole new generation of enthusiasts. Now snowboarding has gone more than just one step ahead.

SSX is an evolution, natural progression if you like, of this popular sport. It takes what was already an exciting pastime and turns it into a white-knuckle, roller coaster ride with all the extras. You may call it boarder-cross or you may call it full contact snowboarding, but whatever the name you'll end up hanging on for dear life!

You start your career in the SSX World Championship as a 'Newbie' and if things go according to plan you'll be a 'Master' after a couple of seasons. It's going to be tough, though. Incredible tricks, big air and speed aren't going to be enough to see you through this style of racing - you're going to need to be aggressive. Do unto others as they will try to do unto you! One way to ensure winning over the 8 courses, including a pinball-like Megaplex, is to bump your opponents off the track and out of the running.
