When selling fish (or any item),you get money based upon the item's level, not it's size. I once got a 10 cm cherry salmon that was only worth about 70G. [by: Vanilla]
Some helpful information:
1. Go to the basement of Jasper's mansion and look around. When you find the Rollabouti (or however it's spelt!), give it to the man at the bar to get his friendship level to ten.
2. When you find Cicilia in the library, talk to her until she tells you the story about giving her rock collection to Felicity. Then (after making friends with the mayor) go to the mayor's house before or after "open" times. Go upstairs and talk to Felicity. She'll give you a rock, which you should take to the doctor. Then speak with Felicity again to get her love level up.
3. (Haven't tried this yet, but I think it will work!) After getting Grimore's Sword by taking Grimore's Scale to the blacksmith, take the sword to Camus (???) to get his friendship level up. [by: Vanilla]
The best way to make money (not really the quickest):
By selling wild crops you can find on plots of farmland, get enough money to buy a monster hut. (Also be sure you have collected enough wood.) Then get a sheep-monster from Toros Cave, a hornet-monster from Clemens Cave, and then a chicken-monster and cow-monster, each from Gigant Mountain. Make sure you have the basket, clippers, milker, and brush. [by: Vanilla]

how to get fast cash with fish
when you get the fishing rod (CHEAP ONE) you can fish at certain spots like
(1 near the ruins
(2 in the river
(3 the ocean
when you get a cherry salmon. SELL IT!!!!
you will get 10 Gs for each centimeter.
for example: a 10 cm. cherry salmon would cost

Farming Tools
Axe (boro no ono) Talk to Bianca (Girl in the right mansion in the third part of the town) after the second day.
Fishing Rod (boro no sao) Turn right at the first part of the town, descend the stairs and run to the end of the port. Sara will get you the rod for fishing.
Hammer (boro no hanma) After you have plowed the 50th soil, talk to Leo (Blacksmith in the second store of the right in the first part of the town).
Scythe (boro no kama) Talk to Rosetta (Girl in the store with a sprout) after you have plowed enough soil in the farm. [by: farming tools]
