if your stuck in the champs room , use Yoshi to get to the vent above the closet then use the hammer you
got to bust it open.next go all the way down the vent and bust the other side of the vent open.then go to grubba's desk ther will be two exclamation marks on each side of his desk.
press a on the exclamation mark closest to the door first . then go to the second one and open it . ther will be a note in the it . after Mario reads it grubba will come in. after he talks he will go into the place where you fight, he will have this machine with the crystal star an top of it. he will turn into a bigger version of himself. then you will have to beat him in a battle.after that Joline will come in and tell the story about how prince mush is her little brother , prince mush will come out of the crystal star.and then you will git the crystal star which is given to you by Joline . to get into hooktails castle all you have to do is to make koops kit the box the same time you do by lining him up with the box then go of x then while the box is blinking hit the other one.then enter the warp pipe and walk down the path until you get to the castle. [by: 1lacy31]

To get to hook tail castle you must shoot koops in the oppisite direction of the button,then make maroi go to the other button.Let go of the x button and when the button lights up make mario hit it with his hammer. A MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!! [by: Loco kid]

There are two ways to defeat Hooktail. The first is to find the "Sound FX R" badge (it is a round, red badge with a musical note on it). It should be in the same area where you found the Black Chest; equip it (notice that he now makes cricket sounds...). Or, as a sure-fire way to make sure you can beat him without the badge, switch partners at the beginning of the fight. for some odd reason, this seems to work every time... also, when you get to the area where you find Ms. Mowz the first time, jump off the left side (toward the sreen, however), and go through the grates to retrieve a Life Shroom, which will realy help.
